CALL – CALL – CALL – CALL – CALL
Call to all the workers, to all the youth, to all the labour and democratic organisations on the world scale
Stop imperialism’s interference in Venezuela!
With every passing day, the economic encirclement and the military threats against Venezuela worsen, after Trump called to support the coup d’état materialised in Guaido’s self-proclamation as “interim president”.
Former United States ambassador to Venezuela, William Bolton, declared: “The best decision would be to accelerate the economic collapse, even though this would cause greater suffering for months of years.”
What right does Trump have to contest the elected president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro?
What right do Macron, Sanchez, May, Merkel… have to present themselves as supposed guarantors of the right of the peoples to decide?
What right do the coalition of pretendedly democratic governments (such as Bolsonaro, Macri, in Latin America, in Europe, etc.), the European Union and the European Parliament have to impose any ultimatum whatsoever for new elections under international, i.e. imperialist, control?
What right do the pretended democrats have to demand elections under international control?
The Venezuelan people alone have the right to decide their destiny, without interference.
Under no circumstances is it possible to accept imperialist interference.
Under no circumstances is it possible to accept the confiscation by imperialist governments of the foreign assets that belong to the Venezuelan nation.
What right do they have to allow themselves to commit this act of piracy, in violation of the most elementary of international democratic rules?
The defence of the Venezuelan nation against any and all imperialist interference is a duty for any democrat.
We call for the broadest possible campaign, everywhere in the world, in support of the Venezuelan nation;
To confront the enormous media intoxication against Venezuela;
To give impetus to and participate in all the mobilisations against imperialist interference.
